John V Palaeologus, 1341-1391. Hyperpyron (Electrum, 24 mm, 3.62 g, 6 h), with Anna of Savoy and Andronicus III, Constantinopolis, 1341-1347. On the left, Anna standing facing, holding scepter surmounted byt trefoil ornament in her right hand and placing her left on her breast; on the right, John V standing facing, holding akakia in his right hand and scepter surmounted by cross in his left hand. Rev. Andronicus III kneeling right before Christ, standing facing, holding his right hand in benediction over the head of Andronicus III; in field to right, IC / XC. DOC 942. SB 2466. Flan broken with a significant portion missing and with a flan crack, otherwise, good very fine.
